The Quirky Pet Has Been Honored...

I

In 2013, The Quirky Pet won a regional 'Daysie' for best pet shop outside of Chittenden County (Burlington) Vermont. These are awarded by a vote of the readers of the regional free newspaper Seven Days. The category best 'outside of Chittenden County' has since been eliminated, Every year since, the shop has appeared as a finalist. Every year losing to a two store chain in Burlington that is a really great operation and deserves to win. (A shout out to our friends at Pet Food Warehouse!!!)

In 2014, The Quirky Pet was awarded the Pet Shop Of The Year- Indy Spirit! by Pet Products International  which is the largest trade journal in the pet supply industry. Their only award for single shop independent pet shops. We are the smallest pet shop ever to win in the smallest town ever to have a pet shop as a national winner. As a result, Cindra joined a national advisory panel and has appeared in print discussing the natural chews her shop specializes in as well as marketing American-made product.

In 2015, A few of the principal stars of Villalobos Rescue Center's Pitbulls & Parolees stopped in the shop when they were in Vermont rehoming pit bulls. They are the nicest people you ever want to meet. Tania posed with the three in front of the shop and posted on Facebook. It got 27,000 likes in a 24 hour period and several thousand posts in a discussion thread about the three.

In 2016 The Quirky Pet was honored with a visit by Vermont Congressman Peter Welch on his tour promoting American made manufacturing. The Quirky Pet was noted as a retailer of only American-made products and a trendsetter in the pet retail industry in terms of promoting American made

In 2018 Anuzzo hit the big time. In Yankee Magazine's Summer Tour Guide To New England Anuzzo was named as one of the five most notable dogs in ALL of New England joining the Labrador who helps guests at Boston's tony Copley Plaza Hotel, the Connecticut Husky mascot, author Stephen King's Corgi, and the Samoyed from the Boston Commons. Quite the honor for a dog from a town of only 7,500. The only state capitol without a McDonalds. Vermont should be proud of its Canine Ambassador.

In May 2019 Pet Products International will announce that the Quirky Pet has again been awarded the Pet Shop Of The Year- Indy Spirit! award which is a national honor taken seriously in the pet supply retail sector. We are very proud to have this honor.
